Introducing Our Handmade Kids' Apron: A Creative Canvas Just for Your Little Chef!

The idea of the child apron began when little 2 year old Lexie wanted to help Granny and Mom with their baking. Granny creatively took two tea towels and designed the first, cute, yellow apron. Lexie loved the idea of knowing the baking will start once she put her apron on. The pockets were a hit for Lexie who loved the idea that she could hide her hands in them. She then could also keep her whisk and ladle in the pockets. Granny decided to have a better fitting apron and created a safer more comfortable fit with a crossover tie back design. The apron material is made from quality tea towels with a waffle weave. It is both absorbent and fast drying. The trimmings are finished with colourfast cotton. Washing instructions are labelled on the tea towel.

Since children love to dress up, the idea of a chef’s hat was included. The hat has velcro to allow it to be adjusted to fit comfortably on any head size.. The headband is made from the waffle tea towel material so it is soft and sits comfortably on the child’s forehead.

The latest improvement is to have two angled pockets that make it easy for the child to snug their hands in or to store their baking items.

The aprons are all designed with a crossover tie at the back. This avoids any straps being tied around the neck. It is safer and comfortable with the straps traveling over the shoulders.

Family sets: To make baking/cooking time with mom, dad or granny more fun, a cute matching adult and child apron sets are available on request and created to order. These complimentary aprons will allow all to have an enjoyable baking/cooking time together.. The ladies apron is a waisted apron with a pocket and an attached dish towel on the waist tie. The men’s apron was the traditional style with a crossover back with the loops at hip level.

Personalizing the apron makes it unique and one of a kind. Names or wording can be embroidered on both the apron and/or chef’s hat. You have a choice of a cursive or print font.

For ease of hanging, all aprons have a hidden sewn in loop usually at the back of the bodice.

The children’s aprons are available in all sizes from 2 years to 6 years. Custom sizes for younger and older children can be made on request. We also create aprons for babies and teenagers.

Two styles have been designed. The girl’s apron features pleats and a defined waistband for a more tailored decorative look. The unisex apron is more of the traditional design that is simpler and ideal for anyone.
